LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — An Arkansas woman has won the lottery after losing her home in a fire only weeks ago.
LeAndra Clay, of Little Rock, Arkansas, lost her home to a house fire only a couple of weeks ago.
“I don’t have much family left and kept telling my friends that I have the faith of a mustard seed,” Clay said, via a statement from the Arkansas lottery office.
Clay’s lucky numbers were drawn on March 23, but she wasn’t aware that she had won the prize for some time. Unfortunately, Ms. Clay was living in a shed without electricity at the time of the drawing.
Once she was able to check into the results of the drawing, Ms. Clay discovered she had won $150,000.
“He’s an on-time God,” she said. “I knew God would bless me soon.”
Ms. Clay said in a statement that she would be using her winnings to purchase a new home and vehicle.
