SAN FRANCISCO — A baby seal in the roadway brought traffic in South San Francisco to a halt earlier today. City officials quickly arrived to coax the animal out of the way.
According to local media, police were first notified of the sea lion’s presence around 8:30am. A number of drivers stopped and attempted to scare away the sea lion themselves.
Police however were able to get the sea lion into the back of their patrol car. In adorable video, the sea lion can be seen in the back of the patrol car. It will now be taken to a local animal rescue shelter for rehabilitation.
