SEATTLE — Emma Krall has spent much of her young life in the hospital.
She was born nine weeks prematurely in June of 2017. Emma has a dangerous condition called campomelic dysplasia, that affects the growth and formation of her skeleton.
Surgeons at Seattle Children’s Hospital were able to perform a procedure that may allow Emma to have increased mobility. The recovery from the surgery required Emma to stay in the hospital for six weeks. Like many girls her age, Emma enjoys Disney princess movies. She watched a lot of them during her recovery.
When it came time for her to leave, Emma’s doctors and nurses brought her some special friends to celebrate the occasion.
