A man in China showed up at just the right time to catch a two-year-old boy as he fell from a 5th-story window.
Some elderly people on the street noticed the child sitting in the window, but weren’t able to get help before the child fell.
Fortunately, 28-year-old Tonik Turghanbek had just parked his car directly underneath the boy’s window. Turghanbek stepped out of the car just in time to soften the child’s fall.
Surveillance videos showed Turghanbek jump from his vehicle, eyes looking up and arms outstretched. He then caught the falling boy and then tumbled to the ground.
“The moment I saw it, he was already falling. I thought of nothing at the moment, and then I caught him. I don’t know what happened after that, as I fainted for a while. When I woke up, police and rescuers were all here,” Turghanbek told Reuters.
While both were taken to the hospital for evaluation, neither suffered any serious injuries.
